When the weather is as nice as it is today my thoughts turn to getting to the water and catching some fish!  I’ve been fishing since I was a little thing and I owe everything I know to my Dad and to one legendary fishcaster.  Check out the bloopers from his TV show…they make me laugh out loudmore

 This is our boss, DJ.  And I seriously love working for him.  He is sort of  a boy wonder( although he may not like that term).  He was an intern when I first came on board at WSOC, oh 12 years ago and programming and doing it well just came naturally for him.  Plus, he knows how to manage each of his employees perfectly and fairly.

Sadly, only 56 percent of Americans genuinely like their boss and would do almost any additional task thats asked  of them!more

I love 99.9 percent of the music we play on WSOC, and I mean with a passion.  I’ve grown more and more into one artist in particular; the lovely and multiply ACM nominated Miranda Lambert.  I talked with her awhile back and I think this was the moment I really understood and appreciated her as an artist and just as a really sweet girl.more

Nathan KobiaMy daughter Emily and I are driving to Nashville on Friday to see Nathan, my nephew, injured in an IED explosion in Afghanistan a few weeks back.  He’s been allowed to go home to Nashville while the bones heal.  Here’s how he is doing today.more

Gabriel My sister Cynthia is an amazing person.  She has always loved horses as long as I can remember.  And had been living her dream…land up near South Mtn…horses and a barn….riding on the weekends.  A few months ago she began having painful debilitating health problems…some neurological disease that still really hasnt been properly diagnosed.  more
