The Carolina Panthers Introduce Brand New Logo & Uniforms

As Cam Newton failed to impress his critics in yesterday’s Pro Bowl performance, the Carolina Panthers were appealing to critics on a different front! According to a press release Sunday night, for the first time since joining the league in 1995, the Panthers have changed their logo. The team has a new look – are you a fan?

Completing just 9-of-27 passes for 186 yards, with three interceptions — including one that was returned for a touchdown, Cam Newton seemed to have a tough time in yesterday’s Pro Bowl game!

While Cam was plagued with overthrows in Honolulu, the Carolina Panthers were making some modifications…

In the in 18-year history of the Carolina Panthers, the organization is making its first ever adjustments to their logo. According to the Panthers, their change was designed “to provide a more aggressive, contemporary look to the logo while making it more three-dimensional for ever-increasing digital use.”

The main tweaks are around the eye and mouth of our Panther, along with some minor changes to the team’s logotype and the “A” of “PANTHERS.”

“Subtle updates reflect a tougher, more defined panther, the evolved logo is evocative of the popular panther statues found on the grounds of Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.”

The logo changes are effective immediately and will be available on Panthers swag starting in April 2012.

The famous trio Lady Antebellum share more than country music awards, they share true love! With all three members either married or engaged, it’s safe to say these three friends are doing just fine for themselves. But the better question is… will we have Baby Antebellum’s in the near future?

Lady Antebellum &… “I’ll speak for myself that I’m in a much happier place,” singer Hillary Scott tells Country Weekly. “We’re excited to all be going through the same things quickly after the other, so it’s really fun. Love is in the air.“ Hillary married drummer Chris Tyrrell in January, complementing Charles Kelley’s marriage to Cassie McConnell in 2009. Bringing up the rear is newly engaged Dave Haywood who proposed in December.

“It’s nice [that they are] going through the same thing,” Charles Kelley admits. “And you know we’re gonna figure out the next step when kids come, what that’s going to be. We’ll stick them in the bottom bay of the bus so you don’t hear them when they cry,” he says with a laugh. Hillary adds that it would make a “wicked nursery” under there.

For now, though, they’re all very happy touring, making music and celebrating in their newest stage of life, but if the time comes? We don’t see them running away from the chance to have a few Baby Antebellum’s on board!

An interesting fact of physics:

If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days, you would have produced enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee.

Hardly seems worth it, does it?

It is a supposed fact of physics but also a corollary of spirit.

Most fussing, yelling, and cursing causes far more harm than good and usually isn’t worth the effort. All of the good it does over the years probably isn’t worth a cup of hot coffee.

So the next time you are inclined to huff and puff and blow off steam by raising your voice with five minutes of yelling at something or someone, remember with another 8 years, 7 months, 5 days, 23 hours and 55 minutes of yelling, you could have a cup of hot java.

(Prov 15:1) A gentle answer turns away wrath, but harsh words stir up anger.

Is the hot cup of coffee worth stirring up with anger?

Coffee doesn’t hear you. People do.

And it only takes one second of yelling to heat them up.

Reminds me of a sign on the door of a room in my college dorm:

“Be Cool or Be Gone.”

Keep your cool, coffee is not the only thing that’s ground up.

Coffee anyone?

And that’s something you can hang your hat on.

If you’re a fan of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off chances are you’re gonna love this newly released Super Bowl commercial from Honda! Matthew Broderick (who, of course, played Ferris) presents a modern-day spin on the classic movie.

Instead of skipping school, Matthew skips work going on a Ferris-like journey throughout the day. With over 2 dozen movie references in the commercial, you can’t help but try to figure them all out.

Danny Gokey Gets Hitched To Model Leyicet Peralta

In an intimate ceremony over the weekend, Danny Gokey has officially tied the knot with model Leyicet Peralta! Though it’s his second marriage, he’s more excited than ever to start his new life.

Danny Gokey & NEEDTOBREATHE Open For…It’s been 4 years since Danny lost his first wife Sophia due surgical complications of her congenital heart disease. And though it was a hard time for him, he founded Sophia’s Heart in her honor, a charity that helps homeless men & women get their GED, find housing, get life skills and more to help them back on track.

This past weekend, though, with just 100 of their closest family and friends, Danny and Leyicet finally said ‘I do’! “We wanted a smaller, more intimate wedding of just friends and family,” the couple told PEOPLE Magazine, going on to say their wedding theme was “romance and love”. We sure hope so!

“We are so thankful to have found each other and now be able to spend the rest of our lives together. We pray our gratitude grows more every day because there is so much for us to do now.”

All wedding gifts were waived in lieu of a donation to Sophia’s Heart

We wish the couple the best of luck in the future and can’t wait to have Danny bake in the Carolinas!

I just wanted to do a few shows this year where we didn’t do that. Where you can actually have a little more intimate relationship with the audience.“
